IF I LOWER MY CAR WITCH COILOVERS DO I USE FOR MY CAR OR FOR MY MOTOR?
I have a 93 EG CIVIC HATCHBACK THAT I JUST SWAP'd WITH A INTEGRA MOTOR When I lower my car Should I get Coilovers and Shocks for a 93 Civic Or should I get it for a 98 integra? Wich Do I do plz get @ me soon I am planning on lowering in a couple weeks AIM MSG ME AT My 93 Eg Hatch

you should get the ones for the civic, the suspension setup has nothing to do with whatever motor you have-Although many parts are interchangable from a 94+ integra to a 92-00 civic. search the forums for more input

The shocks will bolt right up, they are the same thing.
The springs are the same size but the integra spring rates will be stiffer. It might cause a little uneveness in ride height. But since youre looking at getting coilovers you cant adjust the height of your car.
Either way all eg/dc shock/spring setups are interchangible. Only the rates will differ.

just get springs for an integra. the rates on the springs are different and the motor is a little heavier. so overall it will be best to get the integra suspension

It doesn't matter what motor you have. If your vehicle is a 93 civic then you should get coilovers for a 93 civic. 92-95 civic suspension will also fit with 94+integra suspension.

I just think you need to step away from the wrenches for a bit and do some general research before getting any further into your car. Goto one of the stickies at the top of this forum and do some learning *no sarcasim intended*. You may know alot cars in general, but it seems that your knowledge of Hondas is limited. I know everyone has to start somewhere, hence the stickies at the top covering the questions that have been beating to death lol.

to answer the question, all suspension from a 92+ civic's and 94+ Integra's are the same. With the heavier motor you are definitely going to want something with a stiffer spring rate. IMO I wouldn't go with Tein's, D2's, etc. b/c they are set very conservitive with spring rates and are pretty soft. Omni's have pretty nice rates but with everything going on with the recall's i wouldn't suggest them. Try something like Apex'i where you can have custom spring rates made. hope his helps a little

I fail to see the logic in this thread debate. Dude it really all depends on what your gonna be doing with your car? Daily driven? Track? 1/4 mile?
I'll make it simple, most aftermarket performance lowerings springs are already stiffer than OE. Regardless if it was for Civic or Integra. Just buy a set for you civic from a reputable company like Eibach or H&R or whatever you feel worthy. Just make sure you have some good performance shocks to back them up.

That's not comletely right. The Type-R is slightly different in that it uses different rear LCA's than a LS or GSR Teg. For the front Type-R shocks and springs are the same thou, I know from experiance, ran Type-R full adj. coilovers on my Hatch

since the motor you got is bigger just try to get some tokico shocks ( blue or white whatever u want ) and some skunk2 coils... if u want better... go TEIN Basics ( ) is a little more money but you will see the difference!

Lol, the only thing that is necessary in that list is the alignment. Your tires would be perfectly fine without camber kits, and 90% of control arms are just bling anyways (apart from all that unsprung weight horse ****).

If you are referring to spring rates, I would say go with the rates for the motor for the front, and the rates for your chassis for the rear. I have a gsr swap in my hatch too, have integra rate springs in the front and civics in the back.
