Default Question about the H&R ultra low-full coilovers.

I know where to buy them but the price says $1,350 and i know the website havent been updated for a long time but is the price still the same? I was wondering if there is anybody out there with these coilovers, please chime in and tell me what you think about these coil overs. I've been wanting to buy these set sometimes soon and so i wanna know any thing about them. Also buying these for my hatchback if it matters.

Want that drop for less $$$?

Buy 89 Accord shocks all around, with mounting plates. Get some Skunk 2 coil overs for your civic (88-91 Civic), turn the sleeve upside down and remove the bottom peice, turn all the way down. You can seriously tuck the lip of a 13 inch rim when you do that. Lowest part of the car is 1 1/2 inches of the ground, average is 2 1/2 inches. It's dumb, it's reckless and there is NO point in going lower then 2-3" MAX. No camber kit can handle 5" of drop, pretty sure. And if you care about your car, you wouldn't stress the suspension like that.

he talking about the cup on the rear shocks for regular springs,,,you gotta cut it off if you want to go low with the slipovers otherwise it gets cot up on it and only goes so low....no the accord shocks wont blow up becaus they are shorter

You sir, are an idiot. Destroy your hatch, that's fine, makes mine that much more valuable. The bottom piece, should of explained. Coil overs have to seats on the sleeve, they lock togeter. When turned upside down, remove the top (since it's upside down it's the bottom) one and then twist the other one all the way down, it's a ghetto and dangerous way to get an extra 1 inch out of your suspension.

Yes, you will get stock ride height with accord shocks with civic springs. the springs are what adjust the car height, the shock simply adds stability, rigidness and comfort to the ride.

And yes, you will be going thru shocks left right and center on the setup I explained, not to mention you will not be able to go into any step driveways or speed bumps, and not to mention as well that you will definitly hit a pod hole and rip out your oil pan. Good luck.

I did read. But 5" is stupid! You make the car undriveable. By steep driveway, I meant like a 2" incline = scraaaaaape.

I'm doing a 2 inch, and it's more then enough. Lowering a car is suppose to make it handle better, not shittier. And a 5" drop will simply go thru shocks and rubbers and ball joints faster then you think. I hope your rich man.

Ludesrv if you read anything about the coilovers he is talking about they are not a 5" drop at all times. You can adjust them to what ever height you want them at.

Not everyone on this forum is about go fast parts and trying to make their Honda into some sort of race car. Some ppl like to add mods for their own personal preference. If you cant help the guy out, don't bother replying with useless information.

SKipMic2006, the member sicc83 has them on his ED. I would PM him if you have anymore questions and he can help you further.

I hope you can find a camber kit that can handle that kind of drop tho. Ya a drop is nice, and I love slammed EFs, I've done the 5 inch slam before and it looked good. Went thru a set of tires in 3 weeks of daily driving and took out the front lip and scrapped everything and anything on it. Good thing it wasn't my EF.

I don't think your stock suspension can move out of place enough to allign a 4" drop.
