can you put a obd1 head on a obd2 block?

im about to buy a obd1 GSR head, and i have a OBD2 b18b block..will the head work without modifying/change anything

Yes you can. You will however have to do the mods required to run a vtec head on a non-vtec block. OBD1 and 2 dizzys are swapable though, so run the GSR dizzy.

you can put it on. but you will need to figure out what OBD you want to run. 1 or 2. But yes, it will bolt up. If you want to stay obd2 you will need to get a obd2 vtec dizzy for your head, and an obd2 gsr ecu to match up with it.
If you want to go obd1, you need to get a jumper and a obd1 vtec dizzy.

correct me if I'm wrong can't you use the Dizzy he has, and just rewire the plug to the OBD2 Dizzy? IRC the dizzys internaly are the same, they just need different plugs. OBD0 on the other hand are incompatable, with obd1-2 stuff.
