I am about to paint my '00 EK9 from a Silver to a Chamionship White. I want to paint both the interior and exterior. About how much should I expect to pay? How can I prep the car so that I can reduce the cost?

 

I would do all the sanding, bodywork, and removal of everything yourself. Basically take the car there on a flatbed with everything removed. Probably the only way to save yourself a few bucks.

i've heard expect to pay around $5,000 for a quality spray, talking door jambs, engine bay, ect. Unless you have previous experience doing body work I would honestly stay away from doing any of the work yourself, you can pay $20,000 for the best paint job in the world but if the body work on the car sucks, its still going to look like crap when its all said and done. I'm not trying to discourage you, i've just seen a lot of people try to save a couple hundred bucks by prepping the car themselves and they ended up regretting it later

 

I think 5 grand is a bit much. I got my car sprayed ebp for 2000 and it was perfect. But i guess it depends where u go. There a guy on urbanracer.com in the ny area whos painting cars for 600 bucks with a guarantee so just look around.
