Default Axles? Or something else?

I have an automatic eg sedan and when i hit the gas hard it makes a clicking sound. But it is very weird because it is not consistent. Today i was driving and i wanted to experiment a little. So i drove in D and sure enough, it was there. Drove and them shifted to N and reved to like 5k. Turned corners while doing both of those as well. The only time it made noise was when it was in drive. Do you guys think it's the axle?

Bad CV joints. Would be my guess.
Check underneath and look at cv boots, are they torn?

I know my steering rack boot is torn. But my cv boots look fine. At least i think they do. Not really sure where they are. The cv joint would be replaced as well when the axle is done, correct? Or not?

Well clicking when turning is an indication of outer c/v joint damage.
Clicking while going straight and vibrations is an indication of inner joint
damage.

I would just narrow it down to which side it is and get a reman axle for like 50 bucks plus core charge.

Will do. But are the cv joints included? Or are they a seperate item?

most likely an axle, but dont rule out the infamous differantial noise.

i had a 97 ek auto and it also made the exact same noise u r describing, i am full time mechanic too and just neglected to change my axels b/c i was planning to do an auto to manual. well good thing i made it through the winter when it was still auto b/c the noise turned out to be the differential ring gear or final drive gear. when i swapped in my new trans the sound was no longer, even though my axels were beat up and one had a torn boot

i seriously thought it was my axels though, it never occured to me that i could have cracked the final drive in an auto, and recently anoither auto ek came to shop with the same noise. checked his axels and told him the bad news. im begging to think this a problem for auto 92-98.

Also when i am cruising at about 25 to 35 mph my car vibrates like crazy. I have to hit the throttle to make it stop or let off the throttle completely. It kinda feels like my car wants to die and like the suspension wants to fall apart. Any ideas?

vibrations at random or certain speeds can indicate a bad axle(s) as well. find which axle is bad, or if both, and replace, and then see if the problem is still there. i believe that both are originating from the same problem. good luck
