Default Stage 1 cams?

Iam thinking of getting stage 1 skunk2 cams for my del sol VTI. I have already got
cat back exhaust
de-cat
4-2-1 manifold
AEM cai

When i come to fit the cams is it just case of putting the new ones in and setting the timing up? Will it run alright ? Would u recommend putting adjustable cam gears on at the same time? And when i have fitted them i was planning to have some sort of ECU upgrade and have the car mapped, is this worthwhile on a car with these mods? And at a guess what kind of power (flywheel) should i be making from this spec?

tuning is important to the life of ur engine when u use aftermarket internals.
and correct assembly. i say get it, if u know someone that knows how to use it.
