4th Gen. Shock Opinions
Gotta get new shocks for the BB2. Looking for the best bang for my buck. If I could, I'd get Koni Yellows in a second but I'd rather not spend too much money on this car. I plan on buying an EG this fall which I intend to be my next project car.
Still...I need to be able to use these shocks on the street and track. I plan on participating in about 8 autocross events this summer and would like the shocks to last at least 3-4 seasons. My current springs are Eibach Sportlines. I'm considering:
Koni Reds
Tokico Blues
KYB AGX
Any suggestions or problems associated with any of these shocks that anyone knows of? My price limit is about $115 CDN (ish) apiece.
Thanks for the help,
Leigh

^i second the whole "go big or go home"
i have too pondered this and i will wait till i can just buy some revalved koni's w/ gc stuff all at once and not mess with trying out other shocks etc.

i just installed an eibach prokit with kyb agx shocks and i am happy with it as well. Its not lower enough to really worry about scraping, and the adjustability of the agx's is a nice feature. I ride around with them set on 2 and the ride is comfortable, and when i get to the track i can just turn them all up to 4
kyb agx and eibach
the fact that the agx's were $300 shipped off of ebay was a deciding factor

I went with the Tokico Blues....they were the most affordable, and I haven't heard a whole lot of negative things about them (aside from them being...y'know, the most "affordable").
Oh well, not adjustable...should do the trick for a couple of seasons. And coupled with the Azenis I have waiting to get strapped on...well, let's just say this should feel amazing when compared with the blown OEM shocks and bald all-season Ziex tires I have on there now!
Thanks for the feedback,
