Default How to tune an sk2

Hi people, im new on here. Iv just bought a 2004 engine, box, ecu and wiring loom out of a smashed up sk2 and am putting into my mk1 escort rally car. The engine is about the best N/A engine around but i want to get a little more torque. I want to blank the vaccuum pipes off but dont know which ones i can and if id hav any problems. Iv seen it done on the spoonsportseurope.net on there car. I also need to know what wires i need to run it as the immoblizer is in the ecu etc:
Any help would be most greatfull. iv been told there very quick as standard and very reliable so i think its about my best option and its cheap.

Should read "How to tune a Honda engine." Get some scoop on how the motor works first before installing it in a car. Especially a race car.

im curious as to why you want a high revving motor with low torque end for rally driving? one would think you would want a little more torque...

i would take it to a tuner and have them show you what is involved.

learn from someone else who is experienced and gain the information you need so that you are comfortable with it

All the work to fit the engine is done, iv had to sink it 8 inches back inside the car to clear the cross member. The easiest option is to fit throttle bodies and a MBE engine management system but this will be expensive and the standard management seems to work really well on the engine but there is not enough torque. I am using a lower final drive which will help a bit.

Damn accerlation with some short *** gears. Low end torque on a f20c is hard to come by in N/A form. A supercharger might be what your looking for. Paxton makes a nice unit aswell as compect.
