4.77. but maybe you'll end up killing it before you get that far.

4.77 on an AP2 is overkill.

If you are going SC stay away from the 4.77

4.57's, but why should it matter if he goes s/c or not with 4.77's? Either way hell be driving in the same rpm range n/a or f/i.

Did you talk to Comptech? They told me they don't advise to change the gears out on the AP2.

you have an ap2, stick with a 4.44 or a 4.57.

The 4.77 is overkill for a SC application on the street.

If you are going with more than just the base SC ( 350rwhp or more) then don't do the gears. Guys with lots of power are going back to the 4.10s or even going with 3.90s. The low gears make the car very difficult to drive with shifting every 2 seconds and spinning the tires. The taller gears give better trap times and 1/4 miles times too. If you are going with just the basic SC then the 4.44s are a good choice.

I'm speaking from 5 years of personal experience.

Thanks, Phil, for the backup reasoning. I don't think he has enough experience on the car to fully understand what he's doing, though.
