Default Wave at bicycles?

Around town ill sometimes come to a stop light and bicycles will pull up next to me sometimes and kind of look over and nod. Im not sure what the protocol is. Are they just being nice, or am i supposed to nod/wave like i do to other bikes i see on the road?

Maybe they think you're gay and are trying to pick you up.

I see a divorce in your future. Hahaha j/k

If someone waves at you or nods at you it would seem like common coutesey just to wave back. Its not a big deal regardless. As a cyclist and motorcyclist I wave to everyone on two wheels.

I wave at all two-wheeled motorists. Even those on Segways...

No, you should yell at them to stay the f*ck in the damn bike lane and get the f*ck out of the street. Especially when they are in a pack, they think they own the damn road. Bastards. /rant

I saw another scooter the other day and gave a "fist in the air" wave. I got ignored and became sad .

As a bicyclist and a motorcyclist I say no. Sometimes I will nod at people when on my bike but only b/c they stare at me. Also why the bicyclist hate?

one of my co-workers was on his walmart bmx bike and went to p/u our lunch. He had a plastic bag hanging off each end of the bar and came to a stop. A guy on a motorcycle pulled up and stopped next to my co-worker.

Motorcycle Guy :looks over to Co-Worker: "Nice bike."
Co-Worker :looks back and nods: "Thanx, wanna race?"
Motorcycle Guy :smiles: "No thanx."

Rarely. Definitely not in this case.

I just imagine they're Mike. Tyson or Jackson.

A buddy of mine will wave, not just with his hand, but with his whole arm, at any cruiser rider. They usually wave back.

I only hate the ones that ride in the damn street (espescially when they are in a big pack taking up a motor vehicle lane). Stay in the !@#$@#$^#^&#@#$%^!#$%$%^@^%@$@!#$%^@#$%@%^!@#$^@$% !#$%@$%^#&^#$%^@#$^@!#$%@#$% bike lane, it's there for a reason!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I waved to sportbikes and waited for cruisers to wave and then I would return it.

when i see anyone on a motorcycle i usually 'wave' regardless of what kind. i don't wave if i'm turning or if i'm in traffic though.

i agree with the bicycles riding in the street when there is a designated bike lane though, that's irritating. I also look down on those riding bicycles on the street when they don't wear helmets (even worse when you're on a motorcycle IMO).
