Default swapped manifolds, and car wont start.

I swapped my d16y7 manifold with a d16y8 manifold. I think all the sensors are hooked up right. Does anyone know what wire needs to be blocked off from the iacv to run a 2 wire? Also I have my obd1 conversion harness and ecu hooked up. It sometimes tries to turn over but then other times the starter just keeps going. I hooked up all the vacume lines. Help I have no idea what to do.

Are your injectors firing in the corect order?

You can start with checking for codes, and for spark and fuel.

alright, the 2 hoses in front of the mani. top one goes to the pcv valve, and the other goes to the sensor on the fuel rail then leading to the thing that looks like a film canister.

the coolant collective pipe in the back of the block, does that go to the iacv, but what one? then from the iacv to the throttoe body, then from the throttle body to the mani?

also there is coolant in my throttle body

alright, so I discovered there is a vacuum line for cruze control(which i dont have), so I blocked that off. now the there is a hose for the iacv, that goes to the t/b? then from the t/b to a coolant line?

There is a B18 t/b on the mani that i forgot to mention. on the 5spd y8 many there are 2 hoses coming out of the iacv. I am pretty sure the one to the right is for cruse contol. An I think the other goes to the throttle body. But now exiting the throttle body, I dont know where that hose is sapose to go.

I did do that , and coolant was still getting mixed into the combustion.

Now I did bypass the coolant line and put that straight to the mani.

this is my mani. I dont know where the 2 lines in the rear run. The iacv lines.

http://img97.imageshack.us/my....x.jpg

because when I hooked it up one way the the coolant line running to the one iacve, then to the t/b then back to the coolant. it was leaking coolant into the t/b and mani.

sorry dank, if ur iacv is three wire its off an auto and it will not work, unless u use an auto computer. the manifold designs are different,

all ob2 and 2a vtec cars use a 2 wire iacv

ohh, I was stating mine was a 3 wire 99dx. Now I am converting to obd1 and to a 2 wire. But I wasn't really asking about that.

I was saying in the rear of the mani where the 2 wire iacv is. There is 2 vacume hoses. I looked at diagrams and everything, but I do not know where those hoses go. I was told I can just block them off?

Those are coolant lines. I am assuming that you are using a 5-spd y8 throttle body as well. The bottom of the y8 throttle body should have two coolant ports on it. Look on the y8 manifold flange near the top left of the head. There should be a large coolant line there as well as a smaller one on the side of it. Connect that small coolant line to the first port underneath the throttle body. Then connect the coolant port on the other side to the first port on the iacv on the back of the y8 intake manifold. Then connect the port next to it to the back of the block along the long coolant pipe that runs across it. There should be a small port on it.

huh, yea thats what i got told to do. I think there must be a leak in my throttle body. I guess I am going to block off those coolant ports and run from the collective coolant pipe to the mani flange.

thats the only diagram I could find. It doesnt tell me where the lines go, or anything I need. I need to know where the coolant and vacume lines go for a auto y8 mani.

Thanks though

I am working on the pics. I don't own a camera. No cel's. But today all the tubes are hooked up right and turns over everytime, and then dies like 2 mins later. I later check to see if i am getting fuel and spark, and see my #1 injector has a small crack (only on the plastic coating) on the nipple where it sprays fuel. Would a tinly little crack make it not work?. The metal under it is fine.
