Default 98 civic cx question

Hello, i was wondering if a cx and dx tranny the same for the 96-98 year. Im planning to replace my tranny with a dx tranny because my current tranny is making noise....also...i'll be doing the tranny swap soon, would it be better if i replace it using a lift..or jack stands and jacks? i'm in the military so they rent out lifts for like 4.50 an hr...I've replaced clutch with jack and jack stands before and it seems to be a PITA...so i dont know what would be a better thing to do. thanks in advance.
