Does anybody else make cams for the F22b1, if they do, I won't need an H22A1 as badly.

Crower Cams (Crower.com) will regrind you one for approximately $80 a cam lobe. Otherwise, they might have a whole new cam for your car...

Yeah... Crower would be expensive as hell. Probably worth it... What engine does the SE have?

There are no new billet cams for the f22. You have to go with a regrind.

I would go with an aftermarket cam profile like Crower's at first. IIRC they have 3 stages. Choosing custom profiles for the lo and hi lobes is a black art and requires much research and knowledge. Oh I'm talking about Crower's H22 camshafts. I dunno if they make 'em for F22s.

Edit: and you should definitely upgrade your valvetrain if you get some moderate to aggressive cam profiles.

If you re-grind a stock cam shaft do you need valve springs with lift to match grind etc.? What else in valve train needs to be modified?

That depends on how aggresive of a grind you get.

You won't need performance valve springs unless you plan on getting a custom grind that's aggressive enough to warrant rpms +6500. On a F22B2, you'd have to change the entire cam profile (since there are no VTEC lobes), and I doubt you'd pass emissions. If you have a F22B1 you can increase the high-intake lobe... but as mentioned above, custom cam designs are a black art (although WebCam is quite reputable). Fact of the matter is that the F22 SOHC designs are really difficult to squeeze extra rpms out of... Get a H22.

If your cam profile is cut extra agressive, you may need to upgrade springs even if you don't spin above 6,500, I think. A profile may be so sharp that the stock spring just can't close the valve fast enough...
