Code 21 - What are the causes?

Default Code 21 - What are the causes?

I recently just put my 94 EX back to stock. After we got it running, I took it out for a drive, and anywhere past where VTEC should turn on, I get a CEL - Code 21, which is the VTEC spool solenoid valve.

Car is stock, and running a P28-A02 which is chipped, but I cut the J12 jumper so that it would run the stock bin.

Any ideas as to why I'm getting this CEL now? VTEC worked perfect when the car was turbo'd.

it's likely your solenoid is unplugged or defective... update after checking it out

But it worked perfectly when I had the turbo kit on. Absolutely no problems. VTEC engaged like a charm.

Could it be because of the distributor? I'm getting a slight miss sometimes at low (&gt;3k rpms)? A bad distributor wouldnt keep you from engaging VTEC would it?
