trying to help my brother install an AC system into his 98 civic before summer is in full swing. we have a newly swapped 99 B18C that didnt come with any of the AC components. our hatch does not have any of the hardlines(removed by previous owner ). if it matters, we will be converting it to a full OBD2B spec nextweek with a engine and dash harness sourced from an Si. this is conversion is due to the fact that the previous owner was not too careful in wiring this car...looks like spaghetti everywhere the AC climate controls and dash have already been converted to a 99.

we thought that any AC system off a b-series would work, but we found we couldnt use the AC parts our cousin gave to us for free from his own 98 GSR swap.

*** my question then, is will any AC system from an EK work as long as it is from 96-00? does it matter if its an ex, dx, or a 99 Si? i'm talking to a guy right now who is selling me his complete system off his 99 Si and i just want to make sure it will work. ***

So you already have the Compressor mount and compressor or not?

 

I know for an 92-95 you use either the del sol si, crv or a p07 whatever that came off for the brakcet not sure for an 96-00 though. I am pretty sure that all d series compressors were the same from 92-00. You will need the lines from the year or model that you have so they match up. It depends on what all you have and do not have really.

 

we bought the hatch with NO ac components. not even the lines came with it. all we have to work with are the ac parts that my cousin gave to us that he pulled off the 97 GSR swap he just acquired.
