Default racetech upgrade - gold valve or emulators...

gotta make a decision here... Bud I know who used to race suggested springs + cartridge emulators. Most people do springs + rebound... The shop is doing the install so... I don't really have the money to do all 3 so which am I gonna like the most... or should I just get the springs and screw the rest... I'm going .95kg springs and I have a rear shock on the way

If I were you I would just wait in that case. There is no point in not doing it correctly from the get go only to waste more money and time in the future to get them done.

How much are they quoting you for the job? looking to do something like this in the future.

I've only done springs and have been really satisfied with the results. Could it be better? Maybe. Is it enough for what I do with the bike? Definitely.

Cartridge emulators? Our bikes don't need those.

I might just do springs. the rebound gold valve requires a little more work and I'm not positive that it's going to show enough of a difference for me to worry about it now... What exactly does it change? *shrugs* the springs I know I'll notice a huge difference and having the forks rebuilt too is gonna be huge

No, wait, I may be wrong on the cartridge emulator...

So if your bike utilizes a damping rod fork, then you'd want a cartridge emulator.

yeah.... well? You think I'll still be satisfied with springs only? I'm no racer or nothing. I'd like to do track days but I really don't think I'd notice much of a difference right now. If I still want MORE I'll do the rest later...

With just a spring upgrade, it makes a HUGE difference to the way our bikes handle. From the factory, I believe the springs are rated at 0.50kg/mm. That doesn't do **** for big 'uns like you and me.

The only other complaint about the suspension is the shock needing an ugprade (sorry, I've been slackin').
