wipers come on at random. help me
96 honda accord ex 4cyl, the arm where you turn the wipers on/off is very flimsy, when you hit bumps or almost any jarring of the car, the arm that turns them on and off falls down and the wipers come on and you have to manually push the arm back up to get them to quit...........is there some sort of spring in there that wears out? anybody else had this problem? i tried searching, but didn't see my problem arise to anybody else.

Take apart the area around the lever (possibly lever too) and see for yourself.

theres a pin in there thats broken, my cousin used to have this happen on his civic
it was easier for him to go to a junk yard a find the whole assembly and replace it

update. bought one from a junkyard, but took apart the old assembly, there's a plastic cap over a spring inside, and the end of the plastic cap broke off, currently trying to get it super glued and strong enough to see if it will hold, and i'll keep it as a replacement. if not, fixed the prob with the one from the junkyard, just wanted to tinker with the old broken part to see if it's fixable.
