Default help please...i really need help with this....

ok guys....this is just killing me....i did a H22A engine swap with my H23

i went back to my mech today...and told him to switch the distributor from my previous INTERNAL H22A one...to the EXTERNAL one of my H23....and he told me he had already done that from the start.

OMG....and we still didnt have spark. is this due to the H22A using an internal distributor?? im not sure..

so i had him change the distributor back to my H22A INTERNAL one...to try it out. I bought a guide online. and in order to switch from the external to the internal. you have to splice the yellow and black/yellow wire together. so i had him do that.

and i bought a 2000 Civic SI Internal distributor cap to work with the H22A internal distributor...as was specified by the guide. it fit on perfect.

we plugged everything in and STILL there was no spark. i am totally frustrated at this point.

using my H23 distributor = no spark

using the H22A internal distributor = no spark

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

i hear that the original H22A distributor is usually faulty and i should change it. so right now. my next move is to change the H22A distributor and get another one. but i would need an internal one since the wires are already spliced together.

WHICH INTERNAL distributor fits the H22A? i heard its one from an Accord

put a link to the whole situation so people don't ask something already tried and found not to fix it.

no spark from any of the wires or no spark from all the wires?

check the coil to see if it's within spec. also check the igniter.
