Default 1st Gen CRV - Reliable?

I am thinking about purchasing one with 165km (103 miles for you yanks). Whats the highest mileage you have seen a 1st gen CRV go? Any problem areas I should look out for when purchasing one?

on the awd models, the rear diff tends to make noise, but it goes away with a rear diff fluid change. valves also need to be adjusted every 10-15k miles. there also seems to be a common "thump" noise caused by worn suspension parts at the front of the vehicle. other than that, everything crv's are ok for the most part as long as you do preventative maintenance

I believe the only fluid you're supposed to use is the Honda dual-pump fluid.
