TOP SPEEDS?

I'm curious as to how fast you guys have taken your S2k and also if anyone knows approximately what the top speed is on a stock one. I, personally have had mine up to 135mph before I decided to shut it down but I know she's got more to go. Again, just curious.....

There's been vids of guys doin somewhere around 160 in an AP1, I just ran out of gears.

Fastest I got mine was 143. After about 130 ish, it was taking to long so i only made it to 143(running out of room). This is on a stock AP2.

The accuracy of the speedometer is suspect after 130ish...

130 last night, didn't think I had any more room so I let up, could have easily hit 140. My car has cold air and the rest is stock, AP1.

About 135. Ap1 with 4.57 final drive. I haven't installed the yellow box yet so it's kind of questionable. My speedo is off by about 8mph. Also, I-15 in salt lake has some "speed bumps" on it and it freaks me out so I haven't pushed it as hard as I could.

isn't there an electornic governor that limits it to 150 mph?

i've gone 130 and i have a pretty lame video of it somewhere.

I ran mine out at 158 but the car next to me was only going 151. I guess thats the margin of error in the S2000...

true but any speedo over 100 is not accurate. I've had my GSXR 600 at 165 so the speedo says but no way its running that fast...

I agree. The only thing I now for sure is it makes for an expensive ticket no matter if the speedo is right or wrong.
