i just picked up a 2000 PY ITR from a friend who had the car partially stripped by thieves right in his own driveway. Insurance company totalled it out, and I got it for a sweet deal.
anyway, he is not the original owner, and he only had one key to give me with it (dammit). my question is this, if the dealer installed OEM keyless entry system was added to the car when it was originally purchased, how could I tell? if I could find that it is keyless equipped and then only need to buy a keyfob that would be sweet.
yes i know an aftermarket alarm is better. i have a nice one on my JDM ITR, and will eventually get one on the PY if I keep it.

On my gsr theres a little box under the dash on the driver side right hand side ( if that makes sense) That box is the keyless brain.. I know this becuase I lost my keyless pad which also controlled my OEM alarm and even with the acura key I coudlnt deactivate my alarm so I had to unplug that plug from the brain.. A Few days later I found my lost pad and the keyless entry wouldnt work until I plugged that plug back in the box
