you need the whole front end, and the front part of the coupe fenders attached to the rear of the del sol fenders. Its gonna cost some money to do..

If you havent noticed, this forum board is all about go. Anything that doesn't serve your car as a purpose of speed, their gonna hate on it. But if your seriously thinking about doin the conversion, your prob. jus gonna need the headlights and have the body shop do a custom front bumper.

Pretty much your gonna have to cut the hood and fenders around the lights, then reweld and mold around the 96+ civic lights. Gonna have to make custom brackets too. the easiest part will prob. be making the front bumper.

my friend did a 99-00 civic headlight conversion on his sol. you need the fenders, hood, bumper, lights, and radiator support. you have to weld on the civic radiator support, cut both sets of fenders, and weld them together. it is a pretty long process, but it looks good if it is done right.

That del sol looks like ****. The lines don't match at all. I've seen a 96 front on a sol and that works a lot better but you should be more concerned with speed than spending all that money on a body conversion.

what that dude up there said was right.. you basically need the whole front end.. gotta cut the fenders in half and reweld them.. weld on the radiator support and from there on.. i think the hood bolts right up.. not sure.. it bolts up to an eg.. have fun.. this conversion is hella clean so do it right and you'll be happy..

If all you want is one piece headlights, don't waste the money on all that conversion, and get the JDM 1 piece sol headlights. They greatly clean up the front end without paying all that money for the custom mounts and whatever else.

I personally think the 96-99 Civic headlights would look huge on a sol.

Also, I wouldn't copy anything on that train wreck of a movie, but that's just me.

"If you havent noticed, this forum board is all about go. Anything that doesn't serve your car as a purpose of speed, their gonna hate on it."

yeah right. if thats the case..theres a lot of hypocrits...i coulda sworn i just saw a post about some eg ferio door sills.countless carbon fiber post(be honest 9/10 people got a cf hood for looks..**** i aint gonna front). where to get visions. etc etc. the tech tech board was hybrid..before the split up..now its just newby city "whats the best swap?" "can i put a nsx motor in my civic" etc etc. lol

but anyways..i think del sol fronts look best on del sols dont ya think? the closest i have seen is a 92-95 front on a del sol..similar body lines..same family..same years so it would be smoother then a ek front. just my $0.02.

why are there so many ******* ******** who think they know everything on this board? serious you guys need to ******* lighten up. he just asked what was needed to do the conversion. wtf are you so mad about? that he has the money to do it and you dont? ****.

btw, core support is probably most important. fenders, hood, bumper, headlights needed.

Does it really matter? I had no idea there where chasis police on this site.
"why is your name DC2 if you have a civic?" Well.... why are people putting JDM **** in their car if they own USDM? Too many damn double standards here.
Put a red "R" on your car.... and people flame. But notice these are the same people that will put a "R" cluster or a "R" shift **** on their car and think..."Uumm..Well... its different. Its okay because .. blah blah blah." Always trying to justify their own ****... but putting down others.
Go ahead and do your conversion. Its looks pretty good if you do it right. You need the bumper and hood and TWO fenders. You have to cut the fenders and weld them together. Good luck
