Default crx transmission spline question

the transmission in my 91 crx si has been grinding, clutch is bout to go out, so my buddy gave me his transmission off the a6 motor that used to be in his rex (88 si)... i would like to use the spec clutch and fidanza flywheel off of my civic (95 ex)'s old transmission, but from my understanding the 88 trannies had a 22-tooth spline instead of a 21 on the later ones, so i would need to find another clutch disc... is this true, and if so, would it be easy enough to take the spline out of my 91's transmission and swap it for the one in the 88 model transmission?

yeah, splines are different so youll need a matching 88 disc.

flywheels are different too but the old flywheel will work too.

its not that simple to switch input shafts if youve never opened a tranny before. but its certainly possible.
