Disabling EGR on a h22a?
I have managed to break my EGR sensor on my h22 engine so I had a thought about disabling this. Does anyone know how I can go about doing this?
Also do you know where I could find a EGR sensor other than honda? Just incase I want to put it back to standard sometime
Thanks in advance

well you can pry find one at an honda/import slavage yard. The EGR only works during cruise to reduce NOX levels (heat) you could fab a plate to just block it off and just bolt the EGR back on so it looks stock if your in an emissions area

i remembered this thread from a while ago. Qveon is really good at this kind of stuff, PM him or me if you need more help. his little realy will work for an OBD-1 ECU, and i figured out how to do it on an OBD-2 ECU, just never got around to actually buying all the parts and putting it together.

The h22 is going into a OBD0 wired CRX the h22a I have is OBDI. I am using a complete standalone management system called DTA Fast S60.
I found a guide here http://www.92lude.com/egr_mod.htm to remove it but think I am going to get a CEL depending on how my standalone engine management works. Im pretty sure it shall have a feature allowing me to disable it.
I'll let you know how I get on.
