well the stock size is 205/55/16 front and 225/50/16 in back i just dont want the tries being to wide for the rim being that i want to put 225/50/16 in front and 245/50/16
You can run 225/50/16 in the front as long as you're not on stock suspension and not too low.
As per the rear, the OEM rear SO2 tire in 225/50/16 is wrongly measured. If you measure it, you will see that its actually 245/45/16. So when you buy any other tire besides the S02, you must get 245/45/16. If you do not, you will be losing grip.
When the S02 tire was released, there were 3 different versions of the 225/50/16 size. One was the regular size, then there were two specificly made ones. One was for a porsche boxster and the other the s2000. If you had all 3 of these side by side, you would see that all 3 were different. I know its weird considering the size is printed on the sidewalls but this was not the case. Each tire was different in size.

Oops. Not thinking about anything except my car right now. Selfish, I know.
225s will be fine. I've never seen them rub, stock or close to it. If you're slammed, get off the OEM wheels!!!

The extra tire width makes up for the shortened sidewalls in most cases. What matters in the end is rolling diameter. Tirerack posts these in their specs. From the factory, the S already has a bigger front rolling diameter than rear anyways.
