Afternoon H-T

Well team, I just purchased a Rear JDM fog light (right side), complete w/ harness', bracket, shroud, and switch. Now my issue is I’m unsure what side to mount it on? Note the light is for the right side, however I think the rule of thumb is to have the light on the same side the driver is, essentially for Japan the right side.

I was aiming for the right as well the left seems a bit cluttered/busy with the exhaust etc.

Also I searched for the above topic and was unable to find any aid, is anyone aware of the size/perimeter size of the rear fog light hole I need to cut? I think it was 2.5” by 5”?

I’m guessing all I need to do it pig tail the switch seems easy. Not sure any tips or suggestions would be great.
