Seat belts broken?
I can't make my seat belts "catch" on my 90 Si hatch. Is that normal? Neither side, so that makes me think they aren't broken, rather I just don't understand them. Will they hold under extreme decelleration? If I yank them forward quickly they don't stop like most cars will. I was in the doors to install speakers and the mechanisms looked very complex with wires going from them through the doors and into the dash. Is there a G force or impact sensor in the car that triggers them to catch? With no airbags I'd really rather not go through the windshield or knock my teeth out on my steering wheel from belts that do nothing.
Anyone know what's going on here?

No replies? Full on noob question? I did some searching and didn't find anything that looked relevant.
Anyone want to clue in the clueless?

take it to the honda dealership, they'll replace your seat belts for free, the dealership would probably charge you 700$ or so but honda has a life time warenty on all safety equipment. this includes both parts and labor.
