Car for me?
Hey guys, you are the S2k experts, so i figured i'd come here to learn a little more to find out if the S2k is the car for me... I really only have a few simple questions about details of the car that would be easier to just ask the pros then to go to a million different sites, i figured you guys have them, you love them so you should know all these little things off the top of your head..
What are the main differences in the years? Do any of the newer years have more power then the others? Are there any noticable body line changes in the different years? and how rare are the hardtops?
While im asking here are a few other questions, you dont have to answer them b/c they are search material but i figure i could ask..
How much would it cost to get a stock s2k up to about 300 horsepower..
Are they easy to supercharge?

to help you on your quest, the s2k didnt have too many noticible differences troughout the years. 00-03 all had the 2.0l enging with 240hp and 9k redline, the 00-01 had a plastic window and some other small differences compared to the 02-03. the 04-06 had the 2.2l engine with 240hp and a 8k redline. these engines had a little fatter tq band than the ap1. appearence wise they were a little updated as well, front bumper, rear, etc but not much. none of them came in a hardtop so they aren;t rare. the hardtop is an accessory anyone can buy for 2500. as for making 300hp a s.c is your best bet and they tend to be reliable.
now if you are looking at a 06 a lot of changes happend to that year as well, drivebywire, traction control and a programmable ecu. hope that helps a little
