quick questions about B16a Blocks

quick questions about B16a Blocks

did all the B16a blocks have numbers after the A?...mine doesnt...heard that the numbers were a code on which chassis they came from..read that in a tuner mag. true or not true?

thats what the mag said tOo...so I guess there is NOT suppose to be a 1, 2, 3......those are USDM numbers or something?

there is no b16a1 only a3 - del sol and a2 - 99-00 si..

Those numbers are only used on USDM engines. On JDM engines, there is no number there.
