Default Streets of Willow This weekend!!!

Ok, Team LBR is heading out this friday in full force for a weekend of some track whoring. Who all is going to be there? We will be at Streets of Willow on Saturday with SpeedTrailUSA helping out with their instruction, and on Sunday we'll be having some fun at Big Willow next door with TCRA.

We're hoping to see some of you out there and post up if you're going to either one of those events!!

Also, on a sidenote...I'm in SERIOUS need of some race pads for the weekend, for ITR if anyone has them...

Justin

I just got home. It was a good weekend. A lot of new faces showed up, which was good....one of the busiest weekends I've ever seen at a STUSA event. No major catastrophies.....and best of all, I finally got the suspension sorted out in the GTI. Saturday went off for me with no issues, Sunday....the clutch pedal fell off (the little circlip on the pivot pin vanished), and after I got that fixed I broke an axle two laps later. 20 minutes for the clutch pedal and 15 minutes for axle and I was back on track. It was nice meeting and talking to Justin, Jeff and Dan and a bunch of other guys who's names I forget at the Hotel Pub after the event on Saturday. Anyway...a big thanks to everyone that was there for helping the event go smoothly....even with so many people. Hope to see all you guys again at the next one

Indeed it was a great turn out. I only attended Sunday, but heard that Sat. was one of the busiest STUSA SOW events. I had a great time and was able to give it a go with my new car...05 S2K(yellow with bronze SA90 weds). I was anxious to get out on the track and get familiar with the RWD setup. Coming from an ITR, the transition wasn't too bad and I had a blast overall. I was in Intermediate group D....couldn't keep up with the C group. Maybe next time. It was nice seeing new and old faces. My last track day was over a year ago! See you all at the next event.

very good question ... sure someone has info.

From my understanding:

Fast is 1:28-1:30 ... STI / EVO
Hondas +- 1:45 ... that's what ive been told.

don't have lap timer on my car

GREAT WEEKEND</TD></TR></TABLE>

Yeah....next time I'll make sure that my full tube of plug glue is actually full of glue instead of air...lol

As for times, In my POS VW I was running 1:32 - 1:33 all weekend when I was out of traffic.....before the motor mount broke, clutch pedal fell off, axle broke, gas leak started, and alternator bracket cracked. Other than that, everything worked fine.

And if I remember correctly...you blew the doors off of my happy ***, so I'd say you were in the high 1:20s... I was very impressed with your car....I wish someone made a one piece Fiberglass front end for a VW
