Default CRX B16a w/ supercharger

Hi,
I'm just wondering which superchargers will fit the CRX with the B16... I'm pretty sure the Jackson Racing will, but will the vortech??? Also, can the GSR supercharger work on the B16??? Also, is supercharging even worth it... or go turbo???

Thanks

if you search manually page by page you'll find this topic about fitting the B series motor and the JRSC in the EF. If i cn remeber right the JRSC won't work in our car because the pullys are right in the way of the master cylinder, and if it did fit it's gonna be very very tight. I asume that you have a B16 in you car already right?

The GSR in your car plus a the JRSC will not work. because getting the stock GSR mainfold in teh engin bay is already gonna require you to push in the fire wall alittle.

going turbo of SC is up to you... but ask anybody... i think that they'll say turbo. it's cheaper and more power.

can it be done...yes. is it easy ...no. fit is tight and modification of heater hose is required to maintain useability. a shop near me has done several of these and i believe that he uses the type r JRSC kit to clear the master cylinder. the guy at the shop used to have a supercharged gsr engine in his crx so it most definately is possible....but i wouldn't try it myself. the web site for the shop is http://www.lhtperformance.net the pics on the site are a bit dated but shows the proof.

Turbo = more power. SC = Enough power but where you use it. Down low. SC will beat turbo off line etc. but oncea turbo b16 hits 2nd gear bye and your looking at his tail lights.

I guess you have to go for a ride in a SC B18C CRX. Mine was done by Lht Perfomance , it running 10 psi and is at 245 WHP and 173TQ. It has A/C and I dodn't have to worry about boost creep, letting the car cool down for 3 mins, change the oil every 1000 miles and the turbo burning a big spot in my hood.. Now I cant race from a dead stop( because of traction) but lets roll from 60mph and lets see who see's who's tail lights. This summer, "LHT" B20VTEC , S/C and 12 PSI and a Z-dyne = "Stupid Fast " !

You go BlownB18!

The owner from the local tuningshop has somewhere around 350-375 crankhp with a 9,5:1 CRVTEC +waterinjection+13psi JRSC setup.. One slight problem though: maintaining traction of the line with streettires.. too much is not always better.
He uses a larger final drive but that still doesn't help his wheels spinning in every gear! He should fit bigger wheels (now 16) to reduce the torque at the wheels, but he doesn't want to listen to me because....mm yeah I'm full of **** He doesn't use a stand alone ECU either but rewritten EPROM (by himself..) so there's still quite some hps to extract..

I don't have his timeslip but with his current final drive he theoretically can reach speed up to 290kmh@ 9500rpm.. And it can go there fast.. DAMN FAST.. and that packed in a green civic coupe..

can u say sleeper?
