Occasionally when I start the car the idle will seem to "bounce" from about 1,800 rpms to 1000 rpms in intervals of about 1 sec. Can someone help me with what to do? Someone told me an ICV valve needed to be tightened. Idk?

 

Is it throwing a troublecode? It might be a faulty throttle position sensor ( it is located on the throttle body ).

i have a 1997 sh and have had the same problem. On cold startups the idle would fluctuate untill the engine was warm. It was the cold start valve or sensor. The dealer fixed it for free because there is a 150k emmisiions recall. Due to this recall i have gotten this sensor, tuneup and O2 sensor installed at no charge by the dealer. You may want to call your local honda dealer and see about the emissions recall if your under 150k
