Default Carbon Fiber trunk

I have finally received my carbon trunk, took FOREVER. We go to put it on, and it was fine other then you have to be ready when you "pop" the trunk because it flys. Anyways .. I drove around with it and I opened it that night at a freinds house. After I did, I tried to close it, and it wouldn't. The carbon I guess took another form in the sun, and would not close. After 3 hours with a ton of help we still couldnt get it closed. So I zip-tied it. Pretty funny. Next day went to a buddies shop and got it closed. Other then now cutting or weighing down the trunk, is there anything I can do? Has this happned to anyone? TIA

what brand is it?

alot of the trunks do not fit right, or have some slight errors to them.

it doesn't matter what brand it is, you have to take out the trunk springs otherwise it'll deform the carbon.

u gotta change te springs, they based on the weight of the stock trunk, just like u need to use stiffer springs if u put a wing on

With stuff like this, you wouldn't even had a problem if you had read anything about CF trunks over at S2Ki.com

Not bashing the knowledge base here at H-T.com/S2000, but it's just that much more extensive at the other site.

what annoys me is how slow it is! You would think with so many members paying for their membership they would have a better server.

reason for being is beacuse they are more specific when it comes to such problems like these because it is more widly discussed over there. Honda-Tech has such a inlegitimate database that they cannot keep up due to all the other car makes they have on here. S2ki is all about s2ks and thats it because each person usually ends up going through the same problem as another. I personally Love H-T and s2ki but my only gripe about s2ki are some of the mods.

The other reason you'll find the answer to whatever you're looking for that's S2K related there is for the fact that the site and the knowledgebase is 6 years old. There's a lot of info from the past that keeps surfacing back up on that site.

As for the social issues...I know all about them, lived through them, and so forth. I have the notariety of being the first person ever being banned there back in 2001. There was this constant argument between a guy named "Bieg" and a group of people called "VOTA" (Voice of the Aftermarket). Bieg was and is still an OEM non-mod ****. However, the way he argued, he was getting it every which way.

Even though I didn't agree with his opinion, I stood up for him and in the process got banned. I then had a heavy hand in helping S2KCA get started. That furthered my dislike for that site.

Now though, I took a step back and I stick with the UMW crowd. I use the site for what it is. I don't take anything there personal anymore. Without putting too much emotion and care into it, the site becomes just a discussion board and not so much a "friend circle with politics". The site and mods don't seem to be as bad anymore....but then again, they were probably bad, because I put them into situations where they needed to be "bad" to me (...and by "bad" I mean they needed to manage my and my actions the best they could).

There's much less drama because of it, there's less stress, and from my perspective S2Ki does NOT blow. All because I changed and not the management of that site.
