Radio antenna efficiency
I recently pulled my power antenna (It craped out) and I replaced it with a 15" black rubber job (cheap but I used one on my 91 prelude no problems).
My problem is this: When i pulled the antenna cable from the power motor it was all rusted and corroded. Now my radio signals not bad but not as good as it should be. Craps out in underground parking lots, and an hour out of the city. Never had that problem on my prelude.
Is there a way to test the antenna cable (probabbly a stupid question) or is there some where I can get a replacement for the connector at the end of the cable ( I don't wont to run a new cable) Can I just cut the connectors off the cable and the antenna and just splice the wires together?
Any thoughts would be appriciated.
Oh if it matters I have the stock honda deck am/fm/cd/tape.
