The main difference isn't the motor, it's the DPFI.

Most people will saying converting to MPFI using d16a6 parts pretty much eliminates the power gap.

The d15b2 and d16a6 are near identical except for displacement, cam, and valve springs (I think that's all).

You stick a vtec head on, if you wish, it would be easier to just boost and and make high hundreds/low 200s depending on how seriously you made the attempt.

ive thought about boosting it but then theres all the crap that comes with it, letting your car warm up, idling before shutoff, tunning like crazy. but i havent ruled it out yet. just trying to stay very reliable and make some power at same time.

A good tuner can eliminate the 'tuning like crazy'. A good tuner can tune a turbo car to act stock until 3500rpm then all hell goes lose. A good tuner can make the car idle perfect and run like it just came out of factory. A shitty one, well kiss your setup goodbye.

Now, a high flowing exhaust doesn't get as high, so it won't idle as long. Turbo timers idle while you are in the house, then shut off when a specific heat is reached.

To let it idle warm, well, a remote car starter can fix that issue for you. You know your leaving soon, start that baby up while your grabbing your things and putting on your shoes.

I'd get a SOHC ZC for cheap before doing a D15B2, simple fact is, you get the best SOHC non vtec factory cam, everything else is a D16A6, they got about 120hp out of the factory.

thats what im talking about. add this add that. i want reliable motor, that DOESNT draw attention including thieves, i want a simple stock motor people will not suspect. i want to get the power from reworking the internals, this question is for someone who has experiance with this motor and knows what works. dome pistons? vtec head if have to, if i can get away with a ported head and intake bumped comp and some larger injectors. just ideas, just want to know if anyones done it and if it works
