Default Does anyone have this? (ITR Technical Pamphlet)

Has anyone posted this? It's a 33-page technical guide handed out to Acura dealers when the ITR was released in 1997. I'd never seen one before, but I've got one available to scan if everyone would like.

Keep in mind, it takes me a while to scan and upload stuff. So if I do scan all of it, I may do it in installments

if your going to scan each page, scan pages that have photos(front cover etc) in the book in greyscale the rest in black and white, make the files into a pdf, then host the pdf file. or put the file on the p2p networks.

if you dont have time to do the scans. you can always send me the book and ill pay for all shipping, make it into a pdf for you, and put it on a disk aswell.

all those helms manuals you see all over the place... yea you can thank me for all that work.

The next ones I post will be grayscale>pdf.

I may not post the whole thing tonight, but I will within the next day or so. There is alot of information in this booklet that I didn't know, even though I've been a browser in the ITR forum for 5 years.

Enjoy.

please dont switch the scan output.... stick to one and finish it as one version.. mix matching will make it look terrible... but like i said i dont have the book so i can control how you want to scan it.. but i would do it right the first time.

heres what i would do..

1. scan the front and rear of book in greyscale at full scan size (make all pages the same size) and any photos on the pages in greyscale.
2. any other pages with just writings and drawings and no photos look best in black and white.
3. also pushing down alittle more on the book while scanning will take the blurring out aswell.
4. then save the files as a pdf. then your done.

It's on a photobucket account right now, and I'm nowhere near my limit. However, if someone would like to host them as well, feel free. This info should be stickied, IMO. Good FAQ stuff

Gotcha. There aren't any more photos in the book. Just diagrams and drawings.

hopefully you will redo the cover (in larger size and in greyscale) and the pages that are blurry, i'm going to rework the photos that come out blurry but i cant make them clear as they can be it just depends on your scans. and pages will be recropped aswell in my final pdf. i think i can get the file small enough to send through email too.

i think everyone here would rather have a clear book and wait a week or two then blurry pages and have it done in two days...

just my thoughts but you do what you want. ill fix it and make a pdf as clear as i can get them

Alright.

I'll just post em up and flatten them as much as possible, and leave the resizing up to you. It just so happens I got my first scanning printer days before I got this manual (borrowed from a friend), so I'm still new to it.

Also, I just found all of this info available (text only, though) on itrsport.com.

EDIT: As for the cover shot, I can redo it in a larger size, but it's actually clear as day above. The photo of the ITR fades away like that on the actual cover.

yea not sure what scanner your using but i stuck with a 300dpi as my image quality, and paper size as letter. and set to autocrop this should leave the scans really big which is good because onces its a pdf file the pages will autosize themselves. and leaving the scans big will be easier on the person who looking at the file because they can enlarge it without it loosing the letter image. but like i said the clarity will depend on your scans, after that theres not too much i can adjust. and the cover instead of scanning it in color as you did in the thread the greyscale will take out the redness in the photo. so like i said i dont want to jump on your back or anything so dont take my comments as such, its just when your all done you'll see how much more perfect the scans could have been. and i doubt you will want to go back and make changes. so its best to do it right from the start. lol but thats up to you..

Hey TampaSi.....PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE scan, if you have the time, the rest of the manual.....actually, I'll be the first to say that if you might consider selling it, I would likely buy it! Please though, if you have them time, would you mind scanning the rest of it and posting it here....Your right.....itrsport.com does have the info, but not scanned from the original document.....

like I said, if your interested in selling, I may be interested in buying.

thanks Man

excellent find

Why do the drawings of the car look like a JDM front Integra to me if this is an Acura manual?
