ok, ive got a swapped b18b ej2. it has been misfiring since i got the engine, ive replaced the following: plugs, wires, cap, rotor, injectors, fuel filter, air filter, ignition coil, checked fuel line. and now the car wont even start and idle.

heres what happens:
turn ignition on, fuel pump comes on, crank over it starts for 2-3 seconds idles fine ( no immediate misfire anymore ). then it dies. turn off ignition, turn back on...pump comes on, crank over starts for 2 seconds, dies.

from what it seems like, i think its directly related to the fuel delivery system. could my fuel pump be failing... and if so...could that be what has been causing my misfire also?

one question i have is, could it be the fuel pump, fuel sending unit? is the fuel sending unit inside the pump? or are they two seperate pieces.

if im going to replace either or both of those parts, how much $ am i looking to spend on the part ( i can install myself most likely )

please post if you have any ideas. anything COULD help.

when u gas it does it dieds if so i think u wired/plug something wrong happen to me

Do you have the firing order right. Is your timing set right. If nothing else works(fuel pump and such) you could have some bent valves in the head.

 

hey check ur ecu it could be the ecu problem it hapend to me on my eg exactly the same thing i would try puting a p28 or w/e ecu ur runing let us now was up

 

ok, i have the p75 ecu that HMO sent with the engine, i have a p06 and auto p28 sittin around in my garage, i tested the p06 before, but it was still misfiring, but now the car wont even stay on as the original post describes.

i just replaced the fuel pump, and its still dying.

once again, im not throwing any cel codes or anything
