Default Knocking sound coming from driver side wheel??? Need help!!

This is a bit hard to explain but...
When I brake and come to a stop, I hear a "knock" when the car stops. Or when the car is on and parked, if I turn the wheel to a certain point and turn it back and forth fast, I hear that same "knocking" sound. What could this be? Help!

jack the car up in the air and try to wiggle wheel, if it wiggles take the wheel off and see where it coming from, outer tie rod end, upper control arm broken most likely...

Damn, I couldn't wait to see the finish project. I'm assuming you sold it for that S2K?

id guess its the cv. jack the car up & look at the axles. one of them probably has a rip on the cv boot (rubber boot on the axles). u'll notice for sure cuz there will probably be grease all around the riped cv.

Okay... I was driving in a garage today and I could hear a light "clicking/ticking" sound when turning. Correct me if I'm wrong but, if I'm not mistaken, that's the cv joint? I want to save some money and fix this problem myself.. only thing is I'm not even sure what I'm looking for or what part the cv joint is? If I am correct about it being the cv joint, does anyone have pics or diagrams?

If there's anyone near the Seattle area that is willing to help, that would be awesome.

So I've come to the conclusion that the problem is the upper ball joints (both sides). That's the first thing I will replace, btw I have a Skunk2 camber kit. Is there a specific S2 ball joint? Or can I use an OEM one?
