I'm picking up an 84 rex and wanted to know that when i swap out the 88's motor (I'm guessing it's the a6? i'm not suire on the engine codes yet still new at this) would i be able to toss it in the 84? If so what will needed to be done. Or if anyone knows of a link i could check out thanks.

Yes the 88 Si should be the A6 engine if it's stock. There is a stamp on the front of the block.
As to swapping into your 84 CRX (carburated), it will be a difficult swap. You have to swap to fuel injected. You can find a lot for helpful info on this very subject at redpepperracing.com. Good luck!

 

Yea swapping into the 87 and back Crx's can be a real pain.

 

You gotta swap fuel tanks and everything! Unless of course the 84 rex is an Si then it is fuel inj.

 

You also MUST use a 1986-1989 Integra transmission.
