Picture Request. stock struts with aftermarket spring/

Well it's the spring that determines the ride height, so it'll look the same regardless of what shocks are on the car.

Yep...you can get springs and put em on stock shocks, but then you're gonna want aftermarket shocks. Once you get those, it's gonna **** you off that you can't adjust the ride height, so you're gonna want something like Ground Control coilovers to put on those shocks.
I'd suggest getting some Ground Control coilovers and mounting them on your stock shocks until you can afford aftermarket ones. That way you're not wasting any money and, in the end, you'll have a full coilover setup with height adjustability.
