Any Tips On Filling Transmission Fluid? 91 Civic Si

Default Any Tips On Filling Transmission Fluid? 91 Civic Si

Doing axles on a 91 Civic Si, whats the easiest way to fill the tranny? I don't have a suction gun to use, any tips? Also what do you guys run fluid wise?

any parts store will have a tranny filler hose... Its a tube, and one end screws onto the bottle, the other has a little nozzle.. it should be around $3.

bottle of fluid with silicon hose (clear) attached to the nipple. simply sqeeze. or use a long hose and fill from top. either way, till it drips out the fill hole.

I used a clear hose attached to a funnel. Just shy of 2 quarts (1.8).

unbolt your vehicle speed sensor on top of the trans mission and just get a piece of hose and let gravity do the work

Or you could buy one of those funnels with a 1.5 foot plastic hose attached to it. They cost about $2 at your typical auto parts store.
