5mm Spacer, for those that have used spacers...
I'm looking at getting a set of 5mm spacers to clear my new brakes on my EK.
I need them so i can get my 16" +44 offset K1 wheels to clear my new TL 4 piston brakes, and I think the 5mm should do the trick.
My question is, what is the difference between the H&R spacers that sell for $50-$60 for a set of 2 and the genaric E-bay models that sell for $25 shipped?
Is there any centering or anything here to think about?

Yes. The H&R units are MUCH better quality and center themselves on the hub. I run them for this reason

after breaking a couple sets of cheaper ones, i now run the h&r's with no issues. note that the cheap ones broke while running diamond steelie 13x8's, which are not hub-centric and contact the hub face (well, the spacer) on a fairly small area. ymmv.

I got a thick 15mm made from here: http://www.wheeladapter.com/wh...s.asp
Didn't go with integrated stud setup -- so this means you need long wheel studs.
H&R stuff is better made (coating, weight, machine quality (no sharp edges))
You can also try http://crowautomotive.com/bpage.html
I've been to both of these places btw, but only direct experience w/ the former.
Took about 1-2 weeks to get them made.

how much did they charge you? I already have my extended studs installed which is one reason I'm trying to avoid the integrated stud setup...
thanks

These guys make some really nice spacers. Only up to 10mm so it's not going to help you much tho

H&R Hubcentrics, with non-integrated studs. With this big of a spacer, go with something high-quality and hubcentric:

Thats what I have been looking at so far...
I also found these on E-bay but I may just cough up the extra $20 and get the H&R's... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW
