Tbone built 1.8 oem piston 214WHP,RMF Header,Rocket ported,Skunk pro-1 cammed
Heres a personal motor I was building for my friend/step brother. He decided to quit the import stuff and build a 4x4 so i bought him out and this was going to be my daily driver motor. After so many theft attemps I decided that I dont want to drive a modified honda anymore and sold this motor to a local friend.
Heres the specs.
Gsr block stock bore with original hone job of 17k on it
Jdm itr pistons and rods used off someone on HT that coated the domes with my thermal barrier ceramic coating
New oem rings
Stock gsr crank
Pistons .005 in the hole
Rocket motorsports hand ported gsr cylinder head with stock valves and Rocket valvetrain with retainers
Rocket ported Aebs intake manifold(runner clean up only, not cut)
Skunk pro-1 cams
RFM 2.0ltr header originally built for one of Rockets 2.0 customers. This is his older race one that comes straight off the head but still has the collector under the pan.
Stock gsr throttle body
440cc rc injectors
93 octane pump gas

Highest pull was 214 .. These were the last heat soaked pulls.
I tuned it to be on the rich side because of the drivers driving habbits..lol
Total timing was set very low at 24 degree's because i was worried about it pinging on hot days only running 93 octane. The more i threw timing at it the more the power went up.. but its not my car so i wasnt going to push it.. 214 is plenty for the dtreets daily driven.

"Land and Sea" makes a great dyno for the money! All of my race engines were broke in and tuned on one of there Engine Brake Dyno's
Nice results!

What are you talking about??? People just dont know what there doing if they cant make power with them.
I made 245 with them in my car
this one made 215
I have another 2.0 with 11.1 cr pistons taht made 238whp with them(I have another post to make for you guys on that one
)
Vtec kidd make great power
DonF makes great power..
B19coupe made great power, almost as much as toda c's
Matt Kennedy made awesome power
Jason Hunt Ran them for awhile and mate great power
I think theres to many uneducated people trying to put big cams in small motors without the proper suport package.
PRO-1 are hands down my favorite cam ever made so far, they work in everything we have ever run them in no matter how big or small the motors.
the pro-3 kicks butt too if you have the motor to suppot them.

The Pro1's made great bottom end power on my 1.8 liter motor and were within a couple of peak HP of my Toda C's.
this is my best friends motor very fast and strong
hey tom that 238 horsepower motor is mine
if u can please post up my motor for my crx that we did thanks

Thanks Tbone, an good numbers again sir
I am with Tom on this one, Pro1s are my fave street cam, they work in everything i have ever put them in. its not just the peak numbers its the area under tha curve, i just love the PRO TQ curves.
I had PRO3s an they were def one of my favorite camshafts.
I dont get the comment about "finally" making power with pro1s, if you search , there are PLENTY of people making great power with them.
Again Tbone

Ahh, there were several cars here lately with pro1's not make more power than stock. It's not a negative against the pro1's, it just that it seemed like you needed more than a stock/mildly built motor to make power. This just kinda confirms what I was thinking.

you think so, pro3s? why?

on my 2.0l LSVTEC which was 12.2ish:1, MILD ported head, AEBS manifold w 70mm TB, we dynoed the PRO2s vs the PRO3s. the PRO3s made 10hp INSTANTLY with no tuning.
DonF degreed my cams in, PRO3s are NO JOKE, you better know someone or know how to degree them.
On a 13+ comp motor, PRO3s would do wonders

I need to scan your originals as my copies are to black and white and to light, and if i color them in people will call the graph fake,
plus I'd like to hit the dyno 1 more time to smooth that blip in the topend from the missfire with the bad plug wires on the dyno.
Just a preview for everyone though on Mini's motor
RLZ/Tbone built
85x89
2cc wiesco 11.1 cr pistons
My old crx with my smsp big tube header full cat and 3 in exhaust
Rocket cnc ported head stock valve
skunk pro-1 cams
jg edelbrock intake mani with 68mm tbody
tuned by jdogg and me
238 whp 158tq
