Default Auto tranny, help!

Recently, my tranny had been giving me problems. My tranny tends to show the problems in the morning. It would shift hard while driving, the engine would rev with a regular press of the gas and the car wouldn't move. I had the fluid changed this saturday, and when the mechanic took the bolt off, it had that grey lead like sludge on it (which im sure isnt good). He told me not to worry about that much, and that all it needed was a quick flush. He changed the fluid, but it still exhibits these problems but not too extreme. Today, the car would shake when i would come to a stop, and it even turned off once. Whats wrong with it. Im sure ill get the "change the tranny answers", but im broke right now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for now.

How many miles are on your tranny and what year is your car? The automatic tranny on 97'-00' preludes are defective and will go out between 70-100k miles. My tranny went out but Honda extended the warranty so it was replaced for free.

I guess I'm screwed as far as warranties go. It's a 97 , over 120,000, near 121,000. I bought it used, and before it was problem free.
