ive noticed that the inside of the test pipe and the muffler, (in most cases) are poorly welded and come lose, Buzzzzzzzzzzz Buzzzzzzzzz down the road. go to you local muffler shop get the pipe made and buy just the muffler of ebay. Ive had to always weld a little more inside of the eba crap. so they dont brake lose and buzz.

thanks I might go that route. much easier than dealing with false advertising of pipe sizes. hell I might use my current muffler and just modify the piping. maybe just get rid of the cat completely. straight through piping @ 3" would be good for b18gsr right?

if you do that, you wont pass inspection. lol. I didn't so i had to get a new pipe with a cat, apparently the civic cx doesnt have a cat in the piping and when i did the engine swap i didn't put one in.

careful!!!.. read the title, N1 "style" muffler.. that means it was probably made by some kid with a hammer and polisher..lol.. or more likely some backdoor manuf. company. it is not going to be as well made as you expect it to be

if your all motor 3in is a little big. you might want to go with 2.25 or 2.50 to keep some back presure.

Stay away from the cheap eBay exhaust. They tend to sound like crap and are very loud. Get something namebrand that is going to sound nice.

you might as well go to your local performance shop and order a decent one through them cause look at the shipping. either that or get a used one in your area

ya I could buy my buds. also was looking at jazzproparts.com. I know they have a bad rep but I think they could at least handle shipping the right exhaust. they have by far the best deal of like 505$ shipped or something like that for an evo2

That's been less of a hassle than passing a vehicle through Cali emissions.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by DelsolioGSR1996 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">until a hurricane kicks your *** </TD></TR></TABLE>

Decent eBay muffler........................................... $20-55
Muffler piping 2 1/2" (including labor) at a shop........$100

I would rather go this route than buy the muffler system you were looking at on eBay.

I've had this exhaust on my 97 HX for 2 years. I haven't had any problems. It isn't real loud and it sounds a lot better than a lot of stuff I have heard on 4 cylinders. It has a nice deep tone, not raspy at all, all they way to 7300 RPM. But I have the 2.5", not the 3".
