Default Does anyone live in Oregon? Cold air intake = bad idea? Help!!!

So I have been debating for many weeks now on what I should do... I was seriously thinking about getting an AEM V2 intake, but heard many people complaining about heat soak.. Then again, everyone has heard the horror stories of hydrolock - although I have never actually seen anyone do that as of yet.

My main question: Is there anyone on here in Oregon/a rainy state have a CAI? It basically rains all winter here, 30+ days straight at a time, and 7+ days of rain is common in a month.

Or should I just go SRI? Oregon doesn't get too hot during the summer time. Mostly lower than 90 at all times - above 90 is defintely a very hot day in Oregon. In this case, should I have to worry about heat soak?

As you can see, I'm stumbled on what to do/get. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I live almost a whole country away in Kentucky, but decided not to get a CAI, because of all the rain we get. Just last week it rained every day. I guess I am of the opinion if you live someplace that is not Southern California and you get regular rain why chance the CAI.

the V2 intake for the rsx is more like a short ram. you're not going to hydrolock your motor with that unless you drive into the pacific.
