88-89 versus 90-91 hatch bumper question
This is more like a password CRX SiR fiberglass lip fitament question but...
Is there any difference in curvature between the 88-89 and 90-91 front ends? Reason I ask is because I've been looking into getting a password lip for some time now, and I've seen the lip mounted on a 90-91 Civic hatchback front end, but never an 88-89.
Just looking to see if anyone knows/has tried it. Worst comes to worst I'll just go down to my local pick n' pull and check it out
.
Thanks!

The difference is that the 90-91 has fog-light holes on either side of the grill. The password lip has an edge that curves up into those holes. Since the 88-89 bumper doesn't have them, you would need to grind those edges off so that the lip sits flat against the bumper. It would probably work really well if you had a professional body-shop do it for you...

Thanks for the input everyone
. For clarification purposes, I have a 1989 Civic Hatchback. However, from what I've been reading I guess the curvature is about the same.
Anyone else care to share some input
?
