Ok I just did a full bottom end rebuild on an old d15b2 and after hours of messing with it we got it to start and idle fine (after adjusting the idle screw). but when you rev it anywhere past idle it would surge really bad (rpm goes up and down), and after changing the fpr it wont run at all now, but it will start for just a second and then shut off. (changed the fpr back to known good one and still doesnt run) anyone know what we should check? thanks.

bad dizzy?? my z6 did that in my hatch when i was going bad... it would start but once you revved it up .. the tach would bounce like you said and then die.. hmmm...

 

no the distributor is known to be a good part, we are thinking its fuel or vacuum related, just cant figure it out, thanks tho.

vacumm can do that and its a dualpoint maybe the ecu is messed and fuel issues are arising i had that happen on my car then it wouldnt run replaced injector ran for a while then it died or ran like crap then nothing bad injector driver on board of ecu

 

found it, forgot to connect the ground wire on the thermestat housing
