ok so i have a t3 from a ford thunder coupe and i just wanted to know if you guys think this would make a good amount of power and if it will cut before 8k i'm not looking to make some crazy hp because i know this thing won't do it just something until i can save up for some thing bigger i have a jdm gsr long block in my ef hatch and just looking for a little more hp some helpful input would be nice

go for it, I doubt it will drop off up top unless you start uppin the boost much..

That turbo is a bit restrictive on the exhaust (stg1 wheel I bet, and .48 ar), but it will be a lot better than most barely-streetable NA motors. You will easily make 250+ whp at 10psi, spool under 3k, and still have fairly good efficiency. I had a few rides in a gen1 SiR b16a w/t3 60trim .60/.63 turbo, ssauto mani, 2.5" DP (open dp) - it was great.

Hop in a stock non-turbo dsm, then into an automatic turbo dsm, and you'll get the idea. It won't be ideal, but nice as a stop-gap solution for a streen car.

i have one. from an auto thunderbird. 48/60 T3. i ****** love it. 13.8@103 on a stock LS @10 psi. the car MOVES. its just almost instand spool in any gear, GREAT street turbo. everyone who has driven my car LOVES the powerband. i had it on my B16 too made power right to 8k. DO IT!!! you will love it at 10 psi!

 

7-8psi will be perfect. i have one that is mint that is for sale. if interested pm me. i cranked the boost so i wanted something bigger.

eh, u would be pushing them, but if u keep the boost at like 6-8 psi, they will be fine. but 450s are only $50 everywhere, why not just pick them up and have some extra breathing room?

i have that turbo on my D, y7/y8. It has a 2.5 in downpipe, and 3 in exhaust, i can hit 15 psi before 4 grand and it went 13.003, on street tires. I love the turbo, like was said the .48 may be too small for your engine, but damn fun turbo for a D.

Like in the service industries - as long as the customer is happy in the end, they'll put up with a lot of bullshit. If you do it right and don't blow it up - she will be amazed at the difference. Have her drive it hard with one chargepipe coupler removed (NA), and then hook it up. Believe me, it will surprise her. Better yet, tell her in the begining, its either boost or a WS6/SS firebird/camero. Walk a ws6/ss afterwards, and she'll be happy.

the ringlands went in my B16. the motor was 17 years old and had been beaten for a LONG time before i got it. it was only a matter of time before something broke. as long as the tune is good, a stock motor will last a long time wth boost

 

oh yeah, and my gf LOVES boost. trust me, yours will too
