HELP!!! Axel broke+ motor blew up
my car is a 91 civic sedan
I'm just a teenager that work at Safeway that get paid minimum wage. Ok i found out yesterday that my passenger axel was shot the rubber boot thing riped. I was wondering do i need a new axel or not? Oh yeah and my motor blew up. I found a really good deal oh a 90 crx dx motor. I was wondering if i can use that motor for my civic sedan? Are both motor the same? Can i also use the axel from that motor?

Yes you will need a new axel because all the grease stuff will come out and starts clicking when you drive like mine is doing right now, a 90 crx dx motor will work in yours if yours is dpfi (dx)
is your car a std or dx? if dx all parts will swap including axles, if you have a std the axles are different, and you might as well replace the whole axle as if your boot is already ripped there is dirt and sand in there and has made the joint go bad, so a new boot wouldnt help
no my car is a a civic sedan. It's the lx model so its still the dpfi one. ok cool thanks for all the help. One more things can i switch over my power steering things to the crx without any problem? oh yeah i forgot my friend has a 89 civic si tranny i know it will bolt up but would it make my car a little faster with the dual port motor?
yes your power steering will bolt up to it, and the si tranny will not really make your car faster but you will notice the shorter gears and how much faster it gets up and goes
